Al Jazira’s history goes back to 1965 when the late Mr. Khalil Murtaza Dawani established a foodstuff trading company. The shop was located at No. 46, on Qassim Al Mehza Road in Manama just off Shaikh Abdulla Road. Goods were imported from the UK, Holland, Denmark, India, etc.  Sold and distributed throughout Bahrain and also exported to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE and Oman.

Al Jazira has been providing a unique and exclusive selection of products from across the globe to the citizens of Bahrain. With 13 stores across the island located in Adliya, Budaiya, Buquwah, Jasra, Juffair, Hamala, Riffa, Hoora, Janabiyah, Sehla, Karannah, Manama and Zinj.

Al Jazira has been in the industry for more than five decades, in addition the exclusive distributor of many of the world’s leading brands including Heinz, L’Oréal, MCvities, Pinar, Hero, Unilever, Americana, Mazola, Sun Top, Bahlsens, Sara Lee, Nectaflor, Al Karamah, Lurpak, Tilda, General Mills and many more. We at Al Jazira take pride in our thriving Food Service division that humbly attends to the need of all Bahrain’s leading Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes and businesses.
